WHITE BELT

Beginning Classes
New students without prior training will start at the rank of white belt. Each new student will be given individualized instruction by an instructor or assistant instructor in the early stages of training. Since each student may progress at a different rate, initial lessons will be set up for the student on an "as needed" basis. Please feel free to consult with your instructor regarding scheduling or any other matter.

New students will also learn the "Tenants of Shim Shin-Do®"

YELLOW BELT

Curriculum to Test for Yellow Stripe & Yellow Belt
Learn protocol of the academy and pledge, how to tie belt properly, how to conduct oneself in class.

Learn how to develop:
Mind: concentration and listening
Body: exercise pattern and flexibility

Techniques:
» Ducking
» Outer Block Right and Left
» Rear Inward Punch Right and Left
» Front Fighting Stance (Natural Dynamic Stance)
» Front Leg Front Kick
» Rear Leg Front Kick (instep)

Combination (Must be performed right to left and left to right):

Learn how to develop:
Mind: obedience, self-respect, and respect for others
Body: breathing control, balance

Techniques:

» How to use focus mitts and air shields properly
